RuQuan Brown is a junior at Harvard University who had no idea that he’d be attending Harvard just five years ago. Growing up between Seattle, Dallas, and D.C., RuQuan experienced many challenges, from gun violence to domestic violence, that have developed his resiliency. He has also used football as a platform to speak about what’s important. RuQuan started a clothing line, Love1, after his teammate and stepdad were killed during his high school years. Love1 has donated thousands of dollars to families in poor communities that are impacted by gun violence. RuQuan has been heavily involved with March For Our Lives and is a current board member and spokesperson for the organization. RuQuan now works in venture capital and enjoys sharing his paintings with collectors.
