The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) is a research-based think tank studying how young people in the United States learn to become active participants in our democracy. CIRCLE studies a broad range of topics, including electoral engagement, K-12 civic education, youth organizing, youth and civic media, and community characteristics that promote civic development. The central focus of its work is expanding access to civic learning and engagement opportunities by illuminating and working with others to address systemic inequalities and marginalization. CIRCLE is part of the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University.
CIRCLE Seeks a New Director
Serving as chief spokesperson, the Director is responsible for securing financial resources for CIRCLE and supporting Tisch College’s institutional advancement by serving as a key organizational leader. Working closely with an internal-facing Director of Strategy & Culture, this position will excel at: developing new partnerships and opportunities; representing CIRCLE with external stakeholders; fundraising; and managing resources on behalf of the organization. They will represent CIRCLE in high-level coalitions and field settings; and provide mentorship and leadership in the larger civic research and youth engagement space in the U.S.

This person will also build and support the youth civic engagement field through opportunities for discussion and learning with research (and to inform research).

CIRCLE Seeks Senior Researcher
Although CIRCLE studies civic development and engagement of all youth, the central focus of its work is on expanding access to civic learning and engagement opportunities especially for marginalized youth from various backgrounds. As part of this position, the new Senior Researcher will directly support the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE), a signature project which is both a service to higher education institutions – providing colleges/universities with institution-level data on their students' registration and voting – and a national database for research with over 10 million college students each election year. NSLVE currently includes over 1,200 campuses from across the country.
