Leela Strong is the New Director of CIRCLE
We are incredibly excited to announce that Leela Strong is the new Newhouse Director of CIRCLE. She began her tenure this January.
Leela is a dynamic leader with expertise in developing and executing innovative strategic plans, engaging stakeholders, fostering partnerships, and driving impactful philanthropy and fundraising initiatives. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing social impact, particularly within community-based organizations and youth development.
With leadership and philanthropic experience in the non-profit, public, and private sectors, Leela most recently worked as the Global Director of Nike’s Made to Play Initiative. In that role, Leela spearheaded a global campaign to enhance and expand youth development and equity through sports, reaching 1.3 million children annually and advancing systemic improvements in sports accessibility for children and coaches globally. Her professional experience also includes deep roots in the Greater Boston area, as she previously served in leadership roles at several non-profits, including LIFT, Inc. and Casa Myrna, Boston’s largest provider of domestic violence shelter and supportive services to survivors.

I am thrilled to step into the role of the Newhouse Director of CIRCLE! It's an incredible honor to be part of such a dynamic community, and I am excited to work alongside passionate individuals who are dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and empowering the next generation of leaders. I look forward to all the opportunities ahead as we continue to build on the incredible work of CIRCLE and Tisch College.
